320. Traffic Tips for Tots


Young children often don’t realize busy streets or highways are dangerous. You have to either look out for them yourself or, if your children are old enough, teach them to get around safely. Here are some pointers.

  1. •Never leave children unguarded or out of your sight near parked or moving cars.

  2. •Never summon children from across the street; go over and get them.

  3. •Always hold a child’s hand when you cross the street together.

  4. •When exiting a parked car, allow your child to exit on the curb side.
