This month, the American Institute for Preventive Medicine — one of the first five companies to receive URAC Accreditation for Comprehensive Wellness — launches Working Well, a blog about health and wellness at work. We’ve created it specifically for wellness managers who want to implement creative wellness strategies, motivate employees to improve their health and well being, and create a culture of health that will make lives better at the office, at home and in the family.
We want to provide tools, resources and strategies to help you achieve your health promotion goals. And we want you to bring your ideas to the table, too. How is the national conversation about health changing? What can we do to promote health in challenging economic circumstances? How can small businesses and large corporations alike spread a message of wellness and positive lifestyle change throughout the company?
Since 1983, the Institute has been internationally recognized for its ability to present health information in a format that employees/members can easily understand and are motivated to follow, thereby reducing health care costs and absenteeism. Over 13,000 corporations, hospitals, MCOs, unions, schools and government agencies use our products and services.
We’re excited to join the conversation about health and productivity management, workplace wellness strategies and creating a culture of health. What do you want to hear from us? What do you want us to know about you? What challenges are you facing that you’d like to see us address? We can’t wait to learn more, and we hope you’re excited, too.
It’s day one, so we know it’s a little quiet around here. But feel free to join us on Facebook and Twitter, subscribe to our RSS feed or check out any of our free resources on the sidebar to our left.
And come back soon.
