Longer days – shorter hours?

Let’s talk about the weather.

We don’t mean Gee, it’s been hot. (It has.)

We mean: How are you leveraging these long, sunny days to improve employee health?

Do you offer your flex-time? Meaning: do your employees have some control over where, when, and how they work? Studies are beginning to show that it can make employees healthier.

A four-day work-week? More businesses are rearranging hours to save costs, and employers seem to appreciate the extra day off.

Company recreation leagues? A corporate field day? Healthy picnics?  Anything besides “letting everyone work late because they enjoy the air conditioning” as they all go stir-crazy?

We will be discussing strategies for summer wellness in the next couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, tell us: what has worked for you?
